Jason Alexander, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, is sought by police after missing a court appearance.

Jason Alexander, the ex-husband of Britney Spears, is the subject of yet another arrest warrant after allegedly skipping a court appearance.

The pop diva and Alexander’s marriage lasted 55 hours in 2004, and on Tuesday, Alexander was scheduled to appear in court in Napa County.

It’s related to a 2015 incident in which a woman said he stole a bracelet from her that was worth $2,000 (£1,650). Alexander was accused of two felonies, including grand theft and receiving or purchasing stolen property.

When Alexander, 40, was detained for interrupting Spears’ June wedding to Sam Asghari at her California home, authorities became aware of the unresolved case.

After serving a 60-day jail sentence for the Spears intrusion, Alexander was then extradited to face the accusations. Following an earlier arraignment, he was instructed to return to the Napa court on September 13 and had his bail set at $20k (£16,500). However, according to TMZ, he is alleged to have failed to appear.

Police allegedly issued a new arrest warrant as a result of him skipping the court appearance.

After Alexander rented a room from a woman in American Canyon, in Napa County, who said: “She had a place to rent and she was seeking for a tenant to rent the room,” Henry Wofford, spokesman for the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, earlier stated that the alleged offences had been committed in 2015. Mr. Alexander was suggested by a friend.

Within a month of Mr. Alexander moving in, the owner discovered her $2,000 bracelet was stolen from her bedroom. Mr. Alexander denied having stolen the bracelet when she questioned him about it, and he eventually left.

When she got in touch with him again, Mr. Alexander acknowledged that he had taken her bracelet and had pawned it at a nearby pawn shop. The woman phoned the sheriff’s office after trying unsuccessfully to get her bracelet from the pawn store. Alexander had departed the state by the time the report was submitted in 2016, though.

Alexander was found guilty of trespassing and violence after showing up at Spears’ house unannounced on the day of her wedding. He was cleared of both a misdemeanor vandalism charge and the felony stalking allegation.
